Well, we are into the soft launch of ToR. Here are our new servers.

Invitations for Early Access are going out now. If it's anything like Beta, I would strongly recommend people just log into the launcher and see if they can play. It wasn't uncommon for beta testers to find out weeks later they were actually in, and just never received the email notification. That and the servers would be flagged to let an account play before they actually sent email.

For those just joining the story in progress, DoT started as a guild on Star Wars Galaxies oh so terrifyingly long ago.

It's been a long, long, debilitating road, but past being prologue, stars aligning, etc, etc... Defenders of Talus will once again arise when Star Wars: The Old Republic launches later this year.

One of the neat things about ToR is you can create your guild now, before the game is even in beta. You will then be automatically shuffled to the right server when you create your character and auto join at first login.

Which brings me to this shout out from Iacodi.



To sign up, create an account on the ToR website, then head over to the Defenders of Talus guild page. While you're at it, run the app to sign up for beta under account info.

With any luck, ToR won't be the train wreck I think it will be. (ETA: It's totally not.)

So yeah. New. Shiny. Has that new MMO smell. We're playing Rift. Guardians on Byriel. Defenders of Telara. Convenient that the world starts with a T.

So, you may have noticed I changed the layout of the site. I figured after a few years it was time to do so.

I also removed pretty much all characters from the guild roster except the active players and a couple others.

We're still open to our former guildies that wish to return. Feel free to re-add your characters. Just a bulk change sort of thing. All website accounts still remain, just removed the old characters associated with the the guild.

Maybe at some point I'll get around to removing thread tags that don't need to be around any longer.
